Join Our Orchestra!

Symphony Pro Musica is seeking players for the upcoming season!

Based in Hudson MA and now celebrating its 42nd year, SPM is a high-level, ambitious volunteer community orchestra serving MetroWest and Central MA and conducted by Mark Churchill. Performances will be held at Hudson High School, the Mill Pond School in Westborough, MA, St. Mark’s in Southborough, St. John’s in Shrewsbury, and Mechanics Hall, Worcester.

Concerts in November, January, March, and May. Major works for the season include Barber’s Violin Concerto (Keila Wacao, Violin), Dvořák 8, Thea Musgrave’s Turbulent Landscapes,  Mahler 6, and Claudio Santoro’s Cello Concerto (Maria Martins, cello soloist). The season also includes a side-by-side performance with the Worcester Youth Orchestra at Mechanic’s Hall.

Current openings include:

All woodwinds, brass, and percussion players for the Mahler 6 in March.

For the whole season:

  • Clarinet 3/bass clarinet
  • Bassoon 3/contra bassoon
  • Horn 2
  • Percussion
