Choral Groups
- The Assabet Valley Mastersingers
perform choral works in Southborough, Shrewsbury, Northborough, and Westborough.
- The
Stow Festival Chorus (Sounds of Stow) presents concerts in the
fall, winter and spring.
- The Mastersingers of Worcester have performed
a wide variety of a capella and accompanied choral music since 1976.
- The Nashoba Valley Chorale
rehearses in Groton and performs in neighboring communities, from Concord to Fitchburg.
- The Worcester-based Salisbury Singers
and Salisbury Lyric Opera have a long history of
ventures with Symphony Pro Musica. Most recently, the Salisbury Lyric Opera joined SPM for
the December, 1999, holiday concerts for performances of Gian Carlo Menotti's
Amahl and the Night Visitors.
The Assabet Valley Mastersingers, Stow Festival Chorus, and Mastersingers of Worcester
combined forces with Symphony Pro Musica to perform Ralph Vaughan Williams'
Sea Symphony in Mechanics Hall, Worcester, and
Groton Dunstable Performing Arts Center, March 2002.
The Spring of 1998 saw SPM perform Verdi's magnificant Requiem
with the Salisbury, Stow, and Nashoba groups.
